Big Boy Now

Bryson is finally taking a bottle better, we give him 2-3 everyday and as of Monday he is sleeping in his crib and not his carseat. He doesn't sleep as soundly, but he sleeps. He has to do both of these things when he goes to daycare, which is next Thursday. I am going back in the afternoons Thursday and Friday, and full time February 1st. Where did the time go?

Snowman

Jaden and I got outside after lunch and built a snowman, it was so nice out.

What we have been up to...

Bryson is now 7 weeks old today. He has been smiling at us now, which we love. He is very stubborn about taking a bottle and we have been really trying hard this last week. He is now doing better, but still is kind of fussy about it. Our next venture is to get him to sleep in his crib, he now sleeps in his carseat, and he has been sleeping pretty good, so I don't like to mess with where he is sleeping, but when he goes to daycare he has to sleep flat in a crib.
Jaden has been a pretty good big brother, he likes to give Bryson toys to cheer him up when he cries. The other day he put his toy chainsaw on Bryson, what a nice brother to share :) Jaden has really been into doing puzzles, he has gotten so good at doing them. He also loves to watch Tom and Jerry, I swear I don't remember these cartoons being so violent... they are horrible, but Jaden loves it, and I guess I watched Tom and Jerry growing up and I turned out okay. :) Here are some fun pictures of what we have been up to...
Bryson taking a bath in the sink at Grandma Sandy's house. Jaden, Bryson and I spent the week after Christmas up in MN with my parents, we had a great time. So much fun, that Jaden decided to wake up before 6 every morning, b/c he was so excited to play!
This is Bryson yesterday, he looks so much like Jaden did. He LOVES to have us hold him sitting up, he will stop crying instantly, and just sit there.

This is Jaden and his friend Gavin. Jaden went to Gavins house last week during a snow day to play. They play so well together.

Breakfast with Santa!

Today is Grandma Sandy's Birthday! Happy Birthday Grandma Sandy, thanks for helping out so much when Bryson was born! We love you!

We went and had breakfast with Santa on Saturday morning. Jaden was so excited to go and see Santa. He said he wanted Santa to bring him suckers and candy, and said this with such excitement. He hardly even ate breakfast, so I finally got in line with him to sit on Santa's lap. When we got close to Santa, Jaden freaked out and wouldn't even look at him. He got scared, (as he will tell you). We waited at least 15 minutes, to not even tell Santa we want suckers for Christmas. This is a picture of us at the breakfast in front of our Nevada Family Chiropractic Chirstmas tree at Nevada's Festival of Trees.

This is Jaden laughing in front of our Christmas tree at home. It is decorated with all of Jason's ornaments from his childhood. Jaden loves all of them and likes to take them off the tree and play with them, especially the motorcycles and the tractors. :)

Bryson is a pretty good baby. He sleeps most of the day, which helps mom get stuff done. He is not too fussy. He is getting better at tracking us with his eyes, and he loves to hear dads low voice. It will get him to stop crying at any time. We are blessed this Christmas season with our two lovely boys!

Jaden says, "I've had the hardest day sharing my tractors with Bryson... just get me a foot rest and let me watch my shows."

Welcome Bryson

Bryson Joseph was born this morning at 9:56am. He was exactly 10 pounds and 21.5 inches long. Bryson is a little bruised but doing so well. He breastfed right away and then has been sleeping. Labor was only 4 hours this time, as opposed to like 20 with Jaden. Jaden is so proud to be a big brother, but is even more excited to be playing with Grandma Sandy the next few days. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. The hospital is allowing visitors as long as you are over the age of 18, we will also welcome visitors when we get home too. :)

Halloween

We had a very eventful halloween, beginning Thursday night.  Jaden and I went trick or treating at the local retirement center, where Jaden dressed up as a cow.  He loved his costume, and even wore it to Cindy's that day.  He also loved showing people that he can sound like a mean cow, a nice cow, and a calf. Then Friday night we went trick or treating around our neighborhood, and met some of our neighbors.  It was raining and cold so we didn't go for very long.
Saturday, Jaden and I made pumpkin bars (well actually cake, b/c I accidently put the batter in my cake pan and not my bar pan, but they are still really yummy).  He really enjoyed helping me put the ingredients and mixing.  Then our babysitter Amber came over (which Jaden was so excited to play with) and Jason and I went to a Halloween party.  I was a pregnant nun and Jason a priest, and no I did not have to stuff my costume.  That is all natural baby there.  I know, I know I am huge.  And yes, that is Axel Rose behind me! :)

Tonight the varsity volleyball team is playing in the district final to go to state.  We are really excited and fired up.  It should be a fun night and a good game.  We play Marion (who happened to win state last year).  If you aren't doing anything, we are playing in Tama at 7pm. Go Cubs!!!! After we win this, we play at state which is the 11th-14th.
